Telecaster Four Way Switch Wiring
The goal of this project is to get a fatter, more bassy sound out of a standard Fender Telecaster. The standard Fender Telecaster comes with a three way pickup selector switch which selects either each pickup by itself or both pickups together (wired in parallel). This guitar mod allows you to access those three wiring combinations as well as both pickups together wired in series. The end result is the three standard wiring combinations (neck alone, neck and bridge in parallel and bridge alone) as well as the new selection, neck and bridge in series. The result of this guitar mod is very practical and will yield a new, thicker sounding telecaster.

Forewarnings and General Info...
The guitar mod below is being performed on a shielded telecaster. This means that if you are going to attempt this guitar mod on an unshielded telecaster, you will, in step 6, mount the ground wire to the volume pot rather than the guitars shielding material.
